David Reed, mapmaker http://www.crowsnestmaps.com, Baltimore artist, David Reed creates maps which are beautiful but also amuse or inform. His “Rats of Chapel Street” map depicts drug dealing and other crimes, which actually occurred on the street of his studio location. His more recent “Cry My Palestine” map depicts the sad history of the take over of Palestinian territory.

C. with a branch in Washington, D.C., this gallery features famous Southern folk artists and fine artists as well as contemporary emerging folk artists. Owner, Joe Adams is a well-known collector and expert on Southern American Folk Art who lectures and curates shows throughout the U.S. I am a featured artist with them.

Folk Art Society of America http://www.folkart.org This Society makes a study of folk art from all over the world, not just America. By becoming a member you will receive the award winning FOLK ART MESSENGER magazine and you can attend the annual conference, which culminates with an auction evening of folk art. Publisher and Board President, Ann Oppenhimer has created a real treasure for students and collectors.

Maryland State Arts Council http://www.msac.org The MSAC promotes artists and the arts in the State of Maryland. A great source for both artists and non-profits looking for funding for projects, artist-in-residencies and much more. I have created more than 65 murals in Maryland through their Arts in Education program.

American Visionary Museum, http://www.avam.org, This magical museum begun by Director Rebecca Hoffberger just 10 years ago, has become one of the premier tourist stops in Baltimore, MD. Located on the Inner Harbor, AVAM features Outsider and Self taught artists with theme shows, which change every year. Their annual kinetic art race has become a springtime ritual.

American Folk Art Museum http://www.folkartmuseum.org Located in New York City, this museum features a wealth of Early American Art and objects as well as Outsider and more contemporary folk art. By becoming a member you gain free admission to the museum and will receive, FOLK ART, the museum’s quarterly magazine.
